That's right.

I've a 2.6.8-1.521 kernel.

I don't know which kernel Alexander Dalloz has, but he seems not to be able to connect pop.swing.be...

I've connected to it successfully from both an RH8 box running kernel 2.4.20 and a FC2 box with kernel 2.6.6-1.435.2.3

I receive:
+OK QPOP (version 2.4) at coldbert.skynet.be starting.

And can execute POP commands.

So I don't think its server side.

I have the same behaviour by the POP3 server as you. So it is a fault on
the server side and not your client side.

Did you say from some clients you can reach the POP3 server properly?

Yes Alexander, I can read my mails with Windows mail clients and even with mail clients on other linux distributions. Only FC2 has this problem, and only since a few weeks as everything was still OK in June or even the first weeks of July...
