For what it's worth I also am having lockups but not daily.  They occur
every couple of days.  Checking the log always shows there is a kernel
oops when it failed doing virtual paging.  I have also been getting
spurious 8259A interrupts but they don't seem to matter.

I've been trying everything I can think of.  This is an old test 400Mhz
box that was running FC1 from the day it came out without a single
problem.  I really don't want to go back to FC1 but this is getting very
irritating.  It's been running mem86test for hours today without a 
problem.  This box is so solid it will run win98 for weeks without a 
reboot!
