Hi Dave,

Upgrading ncurses should correct a terminfo compile error
for xterm which should fix the reset command for you:

 ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/i386/Fedora/RPMS/ncurses-5.4-7.i386.rpm
