What I meant is that I have never had any problems with cdrecord before at all. Ever. I have used cdrecord on the same computer with RH 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, and 9. Now with Core 2 it doesn't woirk.

Did you try it as root?

Did you want help with these issues, or are you just going back to RH7?

I think he means he hasn't had that problem since 7.1.
