No! The /1 label is important for the new FC2 install, while the FC1
root (/) partition is labeled just /. Do not change that, as it is
correct now.

The hdc=ide-scsi is necessary on FC1 if you have a CD burning device as
master on secondary IDE controller. Add it to the new grub.conf if you
want to burn CDs on FC1.

It is not necessary for using a CD-ROM device, only for a burning
device. On FC2 do not use ide-scsi. Now with kernel 2.6 it works
different, see the release notes for this.
