Why using that old kernel(-source)? Its not just old but vulnerable.

Get the actual kernel and kernel-source version .2188

cp -a /boot/config-2.4.22-1.2188.nptl /usr/src/linux-2.4/.config

Just use a bit clue to get it self compiled ;)
