I'm sure many of those rough edges will be removed by next Monday, but it
certainly isn't worth getting FC1 this week with the iminent release of
FC2. When I was a newbie I liked to play with the latest bits and pieces I
found in the new distributions like the KDE 3.2 and Gnome 2.6 integrations
in the upcoming Core 2. I think that if you went with FC1 you would miss
out on this sort of experience.

Don't forget that there's a lot of Fedora help out there, with this Fedora
mailing list, IRC in #fedora on irc.freenode.net , the community at
FedoraForum.org and the many tutorials and helpful hints at
www.fedoranews.org

Other valuable sites you may find are www.justlinux.com and
www.linuxquestions.org

I'd also recommend to you the Fedora Core for Dummies book for a newbie.

Good luck with you Open Source Quest!
