It would appear that on May 5, Chris Kloiber did say:

Thankyou Chris!

But I'm using kde... And I can't find a menu choice for it under
preferances, settings-modules, system settings, system tools nor does
there appear to be a control for it in the "control center" Sigh!

I just know that when I find out where this is set I'm going to feel
stupid for not thinking of it.

Anybody know the KDE control that can prevent automounting/filebrowser
launching from being triggered by closing the cd-rom and/or cd-rw disk
tray's????
