Hi Joachim,

Hi,

does somebody have similar problems in FC1 when installing matlab-6.5.1 under FC1?

<cdrom mount path>/install dies with:

        permission denied.

Reason: the binaries in

<cdrom-mount-path>/update/bin/glnx86, for example xsetup, are not executable.

The file-command reports:

/mnt/cdrom/update/bin/glnx86/xsetup: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU
/Linux 2.0.0, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), stripped

Some workaround?

What does your /etc/fstab entry for your cdrom look like? Have you tried adding exec to the mount options like

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,ro,exec 0 0
                                                 ^^^^^^
Just a best guess...

Alex
