I guess I'm a semi-old-fart. Only 49. Been doing Sun/UNIX support since
SunOS 3.5. HP3000, HP1000 and other stuff before that. Only started with
Linux just over a year ago.

Anyway, the only reason I keep my old Windows box around is because I
could not get Microsoft Money 2001 working under wine. I wonder if that
would be similar? I only use MS$ because the old box came with it and
I've grown used to it.

Thank for the suggestion for gnucash. I had looked at that once and got confused with it. Maybe it's time to revisit it and see if I can transfer data over from Money to gnucash.

transfer should be easy. gnucash will import several format files, and if money will export a .qif format file it will be totally seamless. I don't know what types of files Money will export to, but gnucash is set up to inport .qif/.ofx/.qfx files and maybe others. I have not tried others, but my bank will let me download the transactions online in QIF or QFX format so i usually use the QFX..
