mount ran out of loop devices

I'm trying to mount a handful of iso images so that their contents can
be shared across the network. Fedora Core 1 seems to have a limit of 8
loop devices that I can use to mount these images. I need 9 ;)

Here's what I get when I run mount on the 9th image:

# mount -o loop yarrow-i386-disc3.iso /shared/redhat/fedoracore1-3
mount: could not find any free loop device

But there are more than 8 loop devices listed in /dev:

# ls /dev/loop*
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 0 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop0
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 1 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop1
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 10 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop10
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 11 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop11
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 12 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop12
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 13 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop13
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 14 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop14
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 15 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop15
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 2 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop2
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 3 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop3
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 4 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop4
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 5 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop5
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 6 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop6
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 7 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop7
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 8 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop8
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 9 Jan 30 2003 /dev/loop9

So how do I access the other loop devices so that I can mount more than
8 ISOs?
