Discussed again and again, that those controllers are "fake" hardware
RAID controllers. In fact they are software RAIDs and can only live with
the help of a driver.

You must have a driver. Maybe the motherboard manufacturer or the
chipset vendor has one. I hardly doubt you get one fitting the actual
FC1 kernel (.2188).

Use Linux software RAID instead. Always the better choice.
