Could you please start a new thread for a new problem.

As has already been suggested, you can use pdftotext, but I'd suggest 
rethinking the whole process.

pdf2text can't handle images, and simply converts the pdf to a text file.  If 
you're creating the documents in the first place, why don't you simply create 
text files to start with instead of creating pdf's.
