Installing Berkeley DB

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Greetings, I am attempting to build/install the Berkeley DB package on my
FC1 box and get the following message:
...
Checking for C compiler compiler default output... configure: error: C
compiler cannot create executables
..

Upon looking at the config.log I this message sticks out:

...
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -l/usr/include/mysql
...

/usr/include/mysql is a valid path.

I have attempted as root(just to check) and a normal user.

Here is the Invocation:
$./configure --prefix=/usr/local/bdb

I have also attempted as
$./configure --prefix=/usr/local/bdb --with-mysql=/usr/

Your Thoughts Appreciated,
JP
