cdrecord / readcd problem

Hi,

Anyone else have a problem when trying to read a music CD ?

using x-cd-roast to read a music CD, it will read the track TOC fine, but has problems
when trying to read the tracks themselves.

so I also tried using 'readcd' directly, and get the same 'screen/log' output:

readcd debug=5 dev=0,1,0 f=try1.raw

NB. happens in both CD-R and CD-RW/DVD-R drives.

Otherwise, I can mount data CD's and play music CD's (althought this is direct hardware usage I
think).

gtoaster is also quite happy to write a CD.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
John.

ps. all other setup is the same as I had under RH90, and all working there.
eg. hde=ide-scsi hdf=ide-scsi
