He will probably thank us...  One month could be a lot of email
messages.  So far I've been on the list since Nov 3, 2003 and I have
over 35,000 messages.  This list averages about 200-300 messages a day
on average.  So, he probably would have had a very angry network admin
on his case when he got back.
Also, it is very normal for Europeans to take a month long holiday.  Not
like us in the US where we are lucky to get 2 weeks a year.
