RE: Slow Install

Hey...I do not actually have a solution to this but I once tried installing
FC1 on my new Athlon 64 as well and it was EXTREMELY slow...even after
installation. I am guessing it is some programming error but I don't
know...I am also going to forward this to fedora-64-list where it belongs..

Subject: Slow Install

Hi,
I am trying to install fedora core 1 x86_64 on my new
machine. The install is extremely slow. It does not
get stuck at any point, but I gave up when it started
to list the packages available on CD (It took more
than an hour to reach this point)
 My config is:
AMD64 3000+
512MB PC 3200 RAM
Western Digital 120GB ATA100 8MB cache
ATI Radeon 9200SE
Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro Motherboard
(NVIDIA nforce3 150 chipset)
I do not see any processes other than those
associated with the install, and it say "DMA disabled"
for the CD drive during install.
 Any suggestions/advice?

Thanks,
-Ajay
