How about using Kudzu/hotplug to do all that work for you?  That way you
don't have to manually edit fstab every time you connect/disconnect the
device.

You'll need to know the model info (my Compact Flash Card):
$ scsi_info /dev/sda | grep ^MODEL
MODEL="IC USB Storage-CFC"


If your camera says MODEL="HP PS120 Camera" then you could create an
entry like this in /etc/updfstab.conf:

device digicam {
    match   hd PS120
}
