Hi all,
I'm trying to configure my ati radeaon 9200 but it doesn't work in 3D. I
see by lsmod and I see that the agpgart module is not loaded. I have
loaded it by modprobe but modprobe fails. I read the dmesg and I see:
Linux agpgart interface v0.99 (c) Jeff Hartmann
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 439M
agpgart: Detected Via Apollo Pro KT400 chipset
agpgart: unable to determine aperture size.

My MB is Asus A7V8X-X.

In XF86config I load dri and glx. I use the fglrx modules for the card
ati's driver.
What can I enable 3D in my card?

For what it is worth. I am having similiar problems with an ATI 9600.
As it is a new computer, I am still trying to resolve this issue. I
have even tried the ATI drivers but it still doesn't work.

I am starting to look at my install from scratch. I did a scan through what code I could last night and I do see that things should be supported by th ATI driver.

Some place I read that there is a conflict on ASUS motherboards but I havn't had any success in finding this again to get details.

As my machine is a new machine, I have other priorities to ensure that my wife is happy and my daughter is happy. DRI is an added feature that is much lower on the priority list.

I get the same response that fglrx kernel module isn't being used and this is the first problem to resolve. I don't know if I made an error in the installation or what at this time.
