the bugzilla solution works only on 2.4 kernels  its not working properly on 
2.6  so is not a solution for FC2  what i am getting in /var/log/messages is

i changed its partition in /etc/updfstab.conf.default from 0 to 1 as my disk 
keys use /dev/sda1  not /dev/sda but when i booted into 2.4 to test it didnt 
automount  but did create the entries in  /etc/fstab and directories needed 

ill report back when i find more info on 2.6 kernels
