Or, do as those of us who install Mozilla daily or even more frequently
for testing its development. Leave the RPM be, so what anything
dependant on them is left undisturbed. Add a menu option, or replace the
existing, and point them to your tarball installation. I put mine in
/usr/local/mozilla16 and /usr/local/mozilla17. You might want to add an
extra profile(s) for the newer version(s)
