rhgb issue using nvidia drivers

After recently installing the latest Nvidia drivers (5328), Red Hat
Graphical Boot (rhgb) no longer shows the GUI "hide details" screen as
expected. Instead, at the stage where it normally would switch to this
screen - after the initial kernel text messages finish, I get a blank
screen until the Nvidia splash screen appears and then the GDM login
displays.
Before the switch to Nvidia drivers, using the standard XFree86 "nv"
driver, the rhgb screen worked fine.
This sounds like the "nvidia" module isn't being loaded early enough in
time for use in displaying rhgb logos, maybe?
Anyone had this problem? Thanks for any help.
