VNC secure Tunneling using (Windows) Putty Client

Hi All,

Referencing this site

http://freesco.no-ip.org/VNC/VNC_PuTTY_HOWTO.pdf

but having some problems. (Can't get it to work)

Am I correct to think that when one does SSH_remote forwarding, by creating
the local port (5095) to be forwared to remote server port 5901, we are in
effect creating the port 5095 locally? Meaning, if I do a nmap of the
localhost I would see that port 5095 is open??

Cos when I do it, port 5905 is _not_ open and I can't connect to the remote
vncserver.

Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks

Cheers, .^.
