I think if you are concerned with damage , you should stay away from
these types of releases in general. This is considered an
enthusiasts/developer platform.

Saying that, if it works on 7.2 and 8, it is highly likely it will work
in later versions.

Have you ever tried the Z53 drivers?

The good thing is the Z55 is not listed as a paper weight :-)
