I just got this message in dmesg after a few hours of uptime :

 Dead loop on netdevice eth0, fix it urgently!

This is with 2.6.17-rc6-mm2 on a Athlon64 X2 system.

Could someone explain the meaning of that message to me? I don't
recall ever having seen it before.
